I believe that EVERY child can learn and that EDUCATION is the key that allows for change.  As an educator I must provide the environment that foster the desire to become lifelong long learners.

I have taught 5-7th grade Math and Algebra I at Whale Branch Middle, St. Helena Elementary, and Lady’s Island Middle schools. In addition, I have previously served as Grade level chair, TAP mentor, ADEPT Evaluator, and Volleyball Coach.  For the past two years, I have served as Numeracy Coach and a member of the Leadership Team at Beaufort Middle and Lady’s Island Middle. I am a trained SCTS 4.0 Evaluator, BCSD Induction and ADEPT mentor, and SREB Certified Local MDC Trainer. I have participated in BCSD Curriculum Writing and presented at BCSD Summer institute and SREB conference.

I am a native Beaufort County who graduated from Beaufort High School.  I received her B.S. degrees from Bennett College and North Carolina A&T State University in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.  Later, I received her M.A.T in Elementary Education from Wheelock College, Middle Level Math Certification from University of South Carolina, and Gifted and Talented Endorsement from Converse College.

My husband, Robert, and I have been blessed with three wonderful children, Mickaila, Briana and Robbie.  We enjoy boating and traveling.
