Christopher Johnson

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Chris Johnson and this is my first year at Robert Smalls International Academy. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Olivet College in K-12 Physical Education, and I am going into my seventh year as a Physical Education teacher.

I am very excited for the 2017-2018 school year. Physical Education class will be a great opportunity for your child to become physically active during the week and will help to promote an interest in healthy living. This year physical education class will consist of several units including motor skills, throwing, catching, physical fitness components, sports units, teambuilding and problem solving lessons.

I want all of your children to have a fun and safe experience, and would like your help in reaching this goal. We are asking that your child not wear open toed shoes on their physical education days. We ask that your child wear gym shoes or bring them to put on during this time. We will be participating in a variety of activities, so to ensure their safety it is important that they have the correct footwear.

Throughout the physical education program students will learn how to live a long and healthy life. I look forward to working with each of your students this year!
