School Health Program

South Carolina law requires that all students entering seventh through twelfth grade that have not received one (1) dose of Tdap vaccine, should do so immediately. The Tdap vaccine protects children from three serious diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (often called whooping cough.)

By state law, students must show proof of receiving the Tdap vaccine prior to the start of this school (Fall 2019) year.

If your child has not yet received the Tdap vaccine.  Please protect your child from whooping cough by meeting the South Carolina requirement for Tdap. Failure to do so, will delay enrolment and/or regular attendance for your child at any SC public school.

You must have the Tdap by the first day of school, Monday, August 19th to start school. You may receive this immunization at the Beaufort County Health Dept in Bluffton and Beaufort, CVS minute clinic or your physician’s office.
